Superhard rounded titanium carbide grains impart high wear resistance and outstanding lubricity. These smooth, rounded grains are held firmly in place by alloy matrix binders; each specifically formulated to provide such properties as toughness, resistance to heat, corrosion, and hostile environment. Ferro-Tic provides the lightweight, size, stability, and hardness. Unlike most powdered metals, Ferro-Tic is virtually porosity free - significantly better than the A1 ASTM B-276-79 Standard.
In its annealed state, Ferro-Tic is readily machinable with conventional equipment. When hardened, Ferro-Tic provides superior performance.
Versatile, economical stock blanks are available for just-in-time (J.I.T.) delivery, ready for use in applications where high quality and economical productivity are a requirement. Custom blended composites can be produced in volume to satisfy your particular requirements.
